Jeff Demps walked (slowly, mind you) away from Florida’s 31-17 victory over Tennessee with 26 carries. Demps said he didn’t expect to tote the ball that many times but he doesn’t mind as long as he’s helping his team.

Jeff Demps gained a net 73 yards as the leading rusher in the contest, but he only averaged 2.8 yards per carry. Demps said he thinks he can keep rushing that often for the remainder of the season if he prepares his body each week.

Demps talked about the talent in the Florida backfield that consists of Demps, Moody and Gillislee. He said those guys are also incredibly talented backs. Demps also talked about never really hitting a burst of speed against the Vols.
