FG Rapid Recap - Florida/Vanderbilt

Jordan Reed

It was a feel-good win all the way around for Florida as they grabbed 480 yards of total offense in a 55-14 stomping of Vanderbilt. QB/TE Jordan Reed had a coming out party as a signal caller going 11-of-19 for 120 passing yards and also gaining 84 yards on the ground as UF's leading rusher.

Other game highlights included quarterback John Brantley's 40-yard touchdown bomb to wide receiver Chris Rainey and wide receiver Frankie Hammond's 39-yard touchdown grab also thrown by Brantley.

Young guys got involved with freshman wide receiver Solomon Patton's 42-yard blocked punt return and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd's seven tackles.

Jordan Reed said he thought coaches might leave "Johnny B" in for the whole game so he didn't know he would get the playing time he did. He also did not throw a ball in warm-ups so the first pass he launched all day was the 31-yarder to Deonte Thompson for a score.

Chris Rainey led the team in all-purpose yards with 136 and center Mike Pouncey stuck by his word that Rainey is the best player on the team.

FOX Sports' Laura McKeeman brings you a recap right here including interviews with Jordan Reed, Sharrif Floyd and Michael Pouncey.
