Glinton Talks About Five
Academics are a huge factor for Glinton when considering his future alma mater. With aspirations to become an athletic trainer or personal trainer, Glinton says it is important for his school to have a program that will help him reach his goals. Glinton adds, "Illinois is one of those programs."
"First, the academics at Illinois are great and they have a top sports medicine program. They have a strong fan base and are pretty much a good team as far as winning. I also really like their coaching staff, especially Coach Zook and Coach Gilbert," Glinton said.
Boston College does not offer sports medicine as a major, but Glinton says he is impressed with the school and adds that will not be a factor in his decision.
"Boston College has one of my favorite quarterbacks in the league in Atlanta. They are always a winning team in the ACC, and they can offer sports medicine as a minor," Glinton said.
While Glinton is not as familiar with Mississippi State, he says he would love to play in the SEC. Glinton says he loves the speed of the game in the Southeastern Conference and adds, "It reminds me of home."
"I was suppose to go to an invite only receivers camp at MSU, but I couldn't make it because my team had a 7 on 7. I am going to try and make it up there before summer ends or take an official, I am excited to learn more about their program," Glinton said.
According to Glinton, he also has received an offer from the University of Florida.
"They have always been my favorite school and I have always been a fan. They are a top academic program and are up there with Duke and Stanford. They have been to the National Championship recently, have a great fan base, and they are close to home. I love that school," Glinton said.
Glinton says he would love to play early and "get all the butterflies out freshman year." One school that Glinton is confident he can earn some early playing time is UCF. "The academics are superb, their football team is on the rise and they won a bowl game last year. Their quarterback is one of the top ten quarterbacks in the country as a freshman and if they can do that with him, I can fit in good with that team," Glinton said.
According to Glinton he has also been in contact with Miami coaches and says an offer could be coming once his senior season starts.
"I will select my official top five by the third week of my season, I want to wait until I hear from Miami before making any decisions," Glinton said.
Glinton says he still plans to visit Florida, FIU, UCF, Georgia, and Alabama.
