Leonard Suspended

Leonard is suspended from team activities

Following the story on the arrest and court appearance of freshman tight end A.C. Leonard, Florida head coach Will Muschamp has decided to suspend the his star pass catcher until further notice. When earlier reported, Muschamp could not be reached to get the full understanding of what may happen to Leonard, and now we know he will not be allowed to participate in any team activities.

With no time frame involved in the decision, Will Muschamp will mull the situation over. However, in the meantime he released this short statement to the media.

"This behavior will not will be tolerated and A.C. has been suspended from team activities at this time," Muschamp stated. "I certainly don't condone this type of behavior - it is not what we expect from the University of Florida football program."

Leonard was accused of pushing a woman friend down and causing her harm in an argument and defends himself by saying he never hit the woman.

The domestic battery charge is a misdemeanor and likely the most significant charge of any of the ten arrests that have occurred under Muschamp's near 14 month watch at Florida.
