Rodney Adams is on Board with Gators

Continuing on the offensive side of the ball for junior day, Florida landed a receiver this time around. They step back into the fertile grounds of the Tampa / St. Petersburg area that was so good to the Gators in the class of 2012 and pull one of the hottest prospects in the state of Florida. Receiver Rodney Adams is a Gator.

"I'm a Gator Now" Rodney Adams told Scout.com moments ago."It feels like a family here I love the coaches the coaches are great and it's a nice fit for me."

Rodney Adams checks in at 6'1 and 190-pounds from Saint Petersburg (FL) Lakewood High School. It should sound familiar as the Gators landed one of the very best in 2012 from the same school, defensive end Dante Fowler.

Rodney Adams does a little bit of everything for his football team whether it's catching, running, blocking or tackling Adams can do it all. He has very good vision, reads blockers extremely well and when he has daylight he knows how to find the end zone. I like the way he gets off the line of scrimmage and possesses great body control when the ball is in the air. He has the ability to make plays down the field and has good concentration when the ball is in the air. From his receiver position he is equally as dangerous on the outside or lined up in the slot. Adams runs very good routes in and out of traffic and often times catches the ball at its highest point of attack. Adams is a big addition to the 2013 offensive class for head coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Brent Pease.

Adams joins running back Kelvin Taylor and Adam Lane as the lone offensive players in this class.
