“We started spring practice today,” Cece Jefferson said.
Jefferson is excited about getting the chance to work hard on the practice field.
“I stepped on the field today and my entire day got better,” he admitted.
As a freshman, Jefferson already claims an offer from Louisville. The Cardinals are one of many teams that are showing interest in the freshman lineman.
“I heard from Florida and Arkansas recently,” he said.
As a native of the Sunshine State, Jefferson has always liked the Florida Gators, but the 6-foot-3, 250-pound lineman was happy to hear from both schools.
“The Gators are my favorite team. I love everything about them. I grew up a Gator fan,” he said.
In Jefferson’s mind, the interest appears to be mutual.
“They were telling me that they want me to get up to Gainesville for some camps and to get to know the coaches so I’m going to go to camp,” he said.
With so much time left in the recruiting process, Jefferson will have multiple opportunities to learn more about the schools that are recruiting him. The highly regarded freshman will have plenty of chances to improve his skills before stepping foot on a college campus. If the amount of interest that he has already received is any indication of the amount of attention that he will receive in the future, then Jefferson will be one of the most highly sought after prospects in the class of 2015.
