Offers Coming for 2014 DB Abraham
"Right now I'm just seeing all of the college coaches coming down and seeing who is interested and picking up offers," Devin Abraham said. So far, Abraham has gained attention from some of the instate schools and a few others that are out of state. "The last two schools to offer me were South Alabama and Middle Tennessee. Also, a number of other schools have come to visit," he said. In addition to South Alabama and Middle Tennessee, Abraham also claims an offer from USF. Since USF's campus is near by, the talented defensive back has already gotten a few opportunities to bond with the coaches. Another school that Abraham has heard from is the University of Florida. Abraham expects the Florida coaches to stop by his high school in the very near future. "I haven't talked to [Florida] much since the visit I took up there, but I think they are coming down sometime this week," he said. Having college coaches stop by gives Abraham extra motivation on the practice field. "I'm really focusing on my technique. I always catch scouts looking at me and I think that my good technique helps me have a better advantage over other DB's," he said. Now that they have been practicing for a few weeks, Abraham has noticed a change in his teammates. "I'm seeing our team come together and get better each day. The first couple of days were just dusting off the rust of the off-season. We were explaining this and that to the new guys and just getting back into the football swing, but now we're doing pretty good and improving," he said. In the long run, Abraham hopes that the work he puts in on the practice field will pay off. As time goes on, he will continue to strive for positive results on the field and in his recruitment.
