Harvin returns, Frazier hoping it's done

Vikings receiver Percy Harvin was back at Winter Park Thursday morning and taking part in practice. Leslie Frazier was looking to put Harvin's previous absence behind him.

Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin returned for the team’s final minicamp practice Thursday morning, taking part in full after missing Wednesday afternoon’s practice following his Tuesday evening request for a trade.

Harvin attended but didn’t participate in both Tuesday and Wednesday morning’s walk-through practices, but he did take part in Tuesday afternoon’s full practice.

“I’ll just put it this way. There’s a lot of different things that have to be sorted out. I just haven’t been real happy lately,” Harvin said after Tuesday’s walk-through. “We’ve got a couple things to work on. I’m here in the classroom, so we’ll go from there.”

Harvin attended meetings Thursday morning and then practiced.

"I think he wants the same things we want. We all want to bring a championship to Minnesota. He wants that in the worst way," Frazier said after Thursday's practice. "That's one of the most important things, that we all want the same thing."

Harvin declined an interview request after Thursday's practice, but tweeted: "I'm really clueless on the crazy reports...had great prac today ....to all my real fans and real vikes fans see u at Mankato..salute"

Frazier said he would talk with Harvin between now and the July 26 reporting date for training camp in Mankato, but he expects Harvin at training camp.

"My expectations are that we'll have 100 percent participation when we get to training camp," Frazier said. "... We still have a good relationship. There will always be things you have to work through. That will always be the case with players and coaches. There's a line there, always, but I think we have a good relationship."

Like Harvin, general manager Rick Spielman on Wednesday said he wouldn’t get into the specifics of Harvin’s qualms with the team.

“Just some internal things that we’ll get worked out. Very excited to have Percy part of this team and moving forward,” Spielman said Wednesday afternoon, shortly before Harvin was a no-show for that practice.

“I’m not going to get into any issues or anything that’s been discussed. Those are all internal issues and we’ll deal with them moving forward.”

The 2009 first-round draft pick has two years remaining on his rookie contract, making base salaries of $915,000 in 2012 and $1.55 million in 2013. He also has workout bonuses of $27,500 this year and next, as well.

Harvin's tweets Wednesday night indicated it wasn't contract related.

“Fans I said I have issues to be worked out money not at all being the problem...I’ve dne everything asked and more,” he tweeted.

He followed that up with: “Me and cch have been speaking and are on same page...theres nothin I can do.”

Frazier was looking to put the situation behind him.

"He leaves feeling confident that things are moving in the right direction," Frazier said of Harvin after the final minicamp practice Thursday. "We feel confident things are moving in the right direction, so that was good to see."
