Incoming Gators Q&A: Raph Andrades

The Gators 2012 signing class is in the books and it won't be long until the new Gators take the field this fall. FightinGators.com is taking the time to get to know a different side of some of incoming freshmen, so you can learn a little more about the new athletes you'll see in the Swamp on gameday.

High School: Lincoln

Position: WR

Height: 6-1

Weight: 190

Q: What number do you want? Why?

A: Don't know. I want my high school number, 14.

Q: Who inspires you? Why

A: A lot of people have, but I'll say God. He gave me everything I have and He's blessed me so much.

Q: What are you going to major in?

A: I'm not sure, I want to do something in medicine or law.

Q: What are you most excited about about coming to Florida?

A: That I get to play football, who wouldn't be excited to play football?

Q: What's your favorite football memory?

A: Winning the state championship, I mean, not what happened during the game, but just the feeling of winning the state championship, that's my best football memory.

Q: What happened to you during the game?

A: I got ejected. I got two personal fouls, one was running down the sideline, I went out of the box basically, and talking I guess.

Q: You're not really a trash-talker are you?

A: No, but what the kid had said to me made me say something back. I don't usually talk trash, I just chill, I like to have fun.

Q: This seems so unlike you, to get ejected.

A: It is unlike me, I don't get ejected.

Q: This might be the same answer, but what's your most embarrassing moment on the field?

A: Getting ejected.

Q: How did you get started playing football?

A: My dad. I just started playing I didn't really know what I was doing, when you're four years old you don't know anything.

Q: Was there a turning point when you thought you could have a serious future playing?

A: When I reached high school. I had dreamed of playing college football when I was younger, but I didn't really think my dreams would become reality until I was in high school.

Are you planning on playing baseball at Florida as well?

A: Yes. For sure.

Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

A: I guess time travel, to be able to go back in time or go ahead of time, you could change how things go. Being able to change things, the past, the future, all of that.

Q: What's your favorite thing to do when you're not playing sports?

A: I don't know, hang out.

Q: If you could share the field with any athlete past or present, who would it be?

A: Tim Tebow, he's a great player, great person. He does the right thing, he knows where he got his talent from, just an all around great person and athlete and student.

Q: What's your favorite movie?

A: I'm a Transformers guy, so any of the Transformers, or The Town.

Q: What's the most played song on your ipod?

A: I don't know, something by 2 Chainz.

Q: What's your favorite pre-game ritual?

A: Probably praying and listening to music.

Q: What's something about you that surprises people?

A: That I play baseball. People know that I play baseball, but they don't realize that I can really play.

Q: How do you want to be remembered?

A: A great student athlete, a great person on and off the field.

Q: What are 3 things you can't live without?

A: Friends and family, God, and sports.

Q: Anything else people should know about you?

A: Not really.
