Reed Named to Mackey Watch List Staff
Posted Jul 10, 2012

The preseason award lists continued to be released on Tuesday, when Florida junior tight end Jordan Reed was named to the 2012 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List.

Jordan Reed has played in 23 games in his career at Florida, starting 14 of them at quarterback and tight end. Reed has 34 career receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns.

He played in 11 games and started ten during the 2011 season, totaling 28 catches for 307 yards. Of the 28 catches, 17 of them went for a first down.

Reed will have plenty of help at tight end in 2012. A.C. Leonard heads into his sophomore season after coming on strong down the stretch of the 2011 season. The Gators also bring freshmen tight ends Kent Taylor and Colin Thompson to campus to add depth.
