Debose Named to Biletnikoff Watch List

The group of Florida wide receivers is searching for a leader. After the position didn’t find answers during the 2011 season, the Gators continue to search for one as the 2012 season is less than two months away. The likely candidate to break out is junior wide receiver Andre Debose, who was named to the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List that was announced on Tuesday.

Andre Debose led Florida with 432 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 2011. He led the SEC and was third in the country among players that had a minimum of 10 receptions with 27 yards per catch. Debose made four starts in 2011 at receiver.

He also made an impact on special teams.

Debose set a school record with his third career kick return for a touchdown, coming on a 99-yard return against Ohio State in a win at the Gator Bowl.

He was one of 48 players placed on the list.
