Easley Named to Hendricks Award Watch List

Florida junior defensive lineman Dominique Easley was named to the 2012 Ted Hendricks Award Watch List on Tuesday. He will play the 2012 season while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered against Florida State in 2011.

This is the 11th year of the Ted Hendricks Award, presented to college football's premier defensive end. Easley spent most of the 2011 season playing defensive tackle.

Dominique Easley played in all 12 regular season games last season but the injury kept him out of Florida's victory over Ohio State in the Gator Bowl. Easley was fifth on the team with 7.5 tackles for a total loss of 25 yards and ended the year with 37 total tackles. Easley added 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hurries and a blocked punt.

The junior was named to the preseason coaches' 2012 All-SEC Third Team and was also named to the preseason All-SEC Third Team by the media.
