PETE’S PIGSKIN PROGNOSTICATIONS
WEEK 7
LAST WEEK (3-3)-----OVERALL (44-10)
Two “Toilet Bowl” games this week, and neither one of them involves Vandy. That’s something of a first.
Kentucky
@
Arkansas
– Arkansas showed some signs of life last week. Kentucky is in the first stages of rigor mortis. Arkansas 28 – Kentucky 13
Auburn
@ Mississippi – At least, the winner of this game manages to avoid a winless season in the SEC.
Ole Miss
is really a little better than they’ve show this year. Auburn…wow, who knows what’s going on there. Mississippi 20 – Auburn 10
Louisiana Tech
@
Texas A&M
– This one is a leftover cupcake rescheduled due to weather. Aggies by 29
South Carolina
@
LSU
– South Carolina looks like the class of the East. LSU looked like the class clown of the West last week. The ease with which
USC
disposed of
Georgia
last week does not bode well for LSU. USC (east) 27 – LSU 14.
Alabama
@
Missouri
– Sorry Mizzou, you’re in the SEC now. And injuries don’t make things any easier, though the Tide would beat you like a rented mule regardless. Alabama 31 – Missouri 14
Tennessee
@
Mississippi State
– I just can’t make myself believe that Mississippi State is for real, despite the 5-0 record. Considering that the teams that the Dogs have beaten are all pretty much bottom feeders, they look like the Great Pretender. Tennessee, on the other hand, is improving, and probably has the better team. We’ll see if the home field advantage is enough to bring the Dogs a win…I think not. UTK 27 – MSU 20
Florida
@
Vanderbilt
– Vandy’s really getting tired of playing top 10 teams. At least Alabama has rotated off the schedule. The Commodores need to get past this game with their confidence intact. I think they can, considering Florida’s generally unimpressive wins. Florida 31 – Vandy 20
