It was a chilly afternoon in Tuscaloosa as Alabama continued to prepare for 1-9 Western Carolina Wednesday. The media was granted two periods to watch practice, so here are a few observations:
--Cornerback John Fulton (turf toe) wore a black no-contact jersey for the second day in a row. He sported a boot on his right foot and did not participate in any drills. He's questionable for Saturday.
--Wide receivers Kenny Bell and Kevin Norwood were again fairly limited while reporters were present, but neither wore no-contact jerseys. Both have been nursing nagging injuries for much of the season. Bell was noticeably limping after running one route.
--Freshman wide receiver Chris Black is still practicing in a black no-contact jersey. Head coach Nick Saban said earlier this week that he has been cleared for activity, but not for contact after injuring his shoulder and having surgery back in August. He's looking pretty sharp and quick going through drills.
Below, watch the defensive backs work through drills at the start of practice.
