Corey Holmes Quick Hitter

WR Corey Holmes

One playmaker to keep an eye on from the Sunshine state checks in from Ft. Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Scout.com caught up with standout wide out Corey Holmes as he shared his thoughts about playoff football and his game.

Corey Holmes spoke with Scout.com about his season, strengths and the state of college football.

"We are doing really good as we made the playoffs and got through the first round with a 42-7 victory. This year I believe I've been great with consistently catching the ball and gaining yards after the catch. I would say the only thing I need to work on is to continue to stay consistent with these two things. I've been speaking often with Coach Alford from Notre Dame, Coach Gonnella from Alabama, and Coach Montgomery from Michigan. I dont have any upcoming visits at the moment. What has surprised me in college football has been Notre Dame's success this year and being moved to the #1 spot. My biggest disappointment has been to see all these different players ruin their chances for the Heisman trophy."
