Harvin misses Thanksgiving practice

Vikings WR Percy Harvin still hasn’t practiced since spraining his left ankle on Nov. 4.

Vikings receiver Percy Harvin continued to sit out practice Thursday with a sprained left ankle Thursday and hasn’t practiced since suffering the injury Nov. 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Harvin sprained the ankle in three different places, he said the day after the injury.

“It took the swelling a little longer to get out than we anticipated. We finally got it out,” Harvin said Wednesday before practice. “I was finally able to start walking (Tuesday).”

He tested the ankle before Wednesday’s practice, but wasn’t able to go.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said he would like to see Harvin practice this week before making a decision on his game status for Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

“I think after the time we’ve had off it would be good for him to get some work,” Frazier said Wednesday.

Harvin said he spent the team’s bye week doing work in the pool, getting treatment with icing and stimulation.

There were no changes to the Vikings’ injury report from Wednesday to Thursday. G Charlie Johnson (toe) also didn’t practice. DT Letroy Guion (foot), WR Michael Jenkins (foot) and CB Antoine Winfield (knee) remained limited. DE Jared Allen (shoulder), WR Stephen Burton (ankle), P Chris Kluwe (knee) and RB Adrian Peterson (ankle) were full participants.

For the Bears, WR Brandon Marshall (shoulder) returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday. TE Kellen Davis (ankle) didn’t practice. QB Jason Campbell (ribs), QB Jay Cutler (concussion), DT Stephen Paea (shoulder) and DT Matt Toeaina (calf) were limited. WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) has already been ruled out.
