Muschamp announces Bailey will transfer

Freshman cornerback Willie Bailey will transfer from the University of Florida, the school announced on Friday. The 6-0, 172-pound cornerback was expected to take a redshirt after not seeing the field during the 2012 season.

Willie Bailey came to Florida from Hallandale High School as a three-star prospect and the No. 33 safety prospect in the country. The defensive back made it to Gainesville with the ability to play both positions in the future.

That won't be happening now.

"Willie Bailey has decided to transfer," Will Muschamp said early Monday afternoon. "He and I met last week, and he felt like he wanted to move on. We'll support him in that."

There could still be other transfers, but if they do come, Muschamp doesn't expect them until after the Sugar Bowl. "We're good right now," Muschamp said. "Obviously after the bowl game you sit down and evaluate where a young man is, but right now we're good to go." Recommended Stories
