Henriquez makes verbal pledge

Miami is off to a strong start with their 2014 class. They reeled in a top 75 prospect on Wednesday.

Adonys Henriquez opted to make an early pledge.

A 2014 prospect out of Orlando (Fla.) Christian Prep, committed to Jim Larranaga and his staff at Miami on Wednesday, just a day after visiting for their game against Central Florida.

"Their style of play and their free style offense," Henriquez responded when asked why he went with the Hurricanes.

Henriquez entertained interest from a host of schools including UCF, Florida State, Alabama, Clemson and Missouri.

A four-star guard, Henriquez is a scorer. At 6-foot-5 he's not only a good shooter out to the three-point line, but he's also very capable of getting points from mid-range.

Henriquez is ranked as the No. 13 shooting guard and the No. 58 overall prospects in the 2014 class.

Henriquez is Miami's first pledge in the 2014 class.
