Jones Has Good Trip to OSU

Chicago De La Salle (Ill.) class of 2014 offensive tackle Jamarco Jones talks about his recent visit to Ohio State.

Ohio State hosted one of the top offensive tackles and overall prospects in the Midwest last Sunday when Chicago De La Salle's Jamarco Jones came to town.

"It was a great visit," he said. "I liked being able to meet the players and having a chance to stay on campus to see what it's like."

He also had a chance to speak to the coaches more.

"They were just saying that they really like me and are going to continue to recruit me hard."

The 6'5, 290-lb Jones has offers from a number of top schools, and he has not narrowed anything down or named any favorites, but he did reiterate that the Buckeyes were in high contention.

However, on a day in which they landed several commitments, Jones was not ready to do the same.

"It didn't change much they were already high on my list. I went into knowing I wasn't going to commit so it wasn't tempting really."

Before he does make any decisions, he hopes to take more visits and see more schools.

"I'm going to hit a couple more Big Ten schools once or twice and I want to visit some others outside the Midwest. I will be attending Florida and Michigan State spring games." Recommended Stories
