Havelock (N.C.) running back Derrell Scott

News and notes on some of the top 2014 prospects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Nebraska offered two players from North Carolina on Tuesday – Havelock running back Derrell Scott and Charlotte Christian wide receiver Bo Hines.

Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic running back Elijah Hood narrowed his list to three on Monday – in order – Notre Dame, Michigan, and Ohio State.

Ole Miss offered Hampton (Va.) Bethel defensive lineman Ricky Walker on Monday. On Tuesday, the Rebels offered Norfolk (Va.) defensive end Jalyn Holmes and Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes defensive tackle Derrick. All three prospect have double-digit offers.

Monroe (N.C.) wide receiver Jaylan Barbour picked up offer No. 7 on Monday from West Virginia.

Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County offensive tackle Trip McNeill picked up his seventh offer on Tuesday from Appalachian State.

Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch offensive tackle Thomas Coleman and tight end Tyrique Boothe were both offered by Hampton on Monday. It is offer No. 3 for Coleman, who also has offers from Toledo and Virginia Tech and offer No. 2 for Boothe, who also has an offer from Virginia Tech.

Mechanicsville (Va.) Atlee lineman Alec Eberle picked up an Old Dominion on Tuesday. The Monarchs offered him as a defensive tackle. He also has offers from Maryland and Connecticut as an offensive lineman.
