Miami commit looking around

Travis Rudolph committed to Miami very early in the process and while he remains committed to the Hurricanes, he is exploring some other options. The 2014 wide receiver is keeping an open mind and looking into several other programs. Get the latest on Rudolph right here.

"It's a soft commitment," Travis Rudolph said of his pledge to Miami.

"The whole staff in Miami, they know I want to go through my recruiting process and explore my options."

The Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, FL) standout claims offers from Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Louisville, West Virginia, and more. The Seminoles were the latest to offer and Rudolph is looking forward to visiting Tallahassee when he gets the chance.

"FSU, I feel like they're a big-time ACC football program," he said.

"I'll probably visit them in the summer."

Although he remains committed to an ACC program, Rudolph wants to focus on exploring his SEC options.

"I'd like to explore all the SEC that I was offered by, like Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. I like all of those programs. I feel like in the future I'll most likely play in the SEC," he said.

His most recent visit was to Florida for junior day last month and he walked away very impressed with the program.

"I love Florida, I love the whole football staff and the facilities," he said.

"They're really consistent with everything, that's a big part in gaining my trust. They definitely have my trust."

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound athlete doesn't plan to do any more traveling until summer, but there are a handful of places on his list of trips.

"I'm probably going to go up to Auburn in the summer and I'm definitely going to get back on the Florida campus and get to Florida State," he said.

Rudolph expects it to be some time before he makes a final decision, but he expects it to come down to his relationships with coaches.

"Wherever I feel like is the best spot for me and where I feel like I have the most trust with the coaches and I feel comfortable, that's what's going to separate (the final school)," he said.
