Winslow To Trim List in May

Justise Winslow

Justise Winslow, the #1 small forward in the nation for 2014, had to adjust his plans a bit due to a coaching change, but he'll trim down his list in May...

Five-star small forward Justise Winslow was in Los Angeles this weekend, participating in the the first stop on the Nike EYBL tour. The nation's #1 small forward already has what looks like a college-ready body, at about 6'6 with a filled-out frame. In attendance at his evening game were Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski, UCLA Coach Steve Alford, Kansas Coach Bill Self, Arizona's Sean Miller and many others.

Afterward, he talked about his top 10 and when he plans on trimming it.

"Right now, in no particular order, my list is Duke, North Carolina, Florida, Kansas, Texas A&M, Houston, Baylor, Arizona, UCLA, and Stanford," Winslow said. "I'm hoping to cut down my list before the end of my school year this year."

There was some jockeying for position by coaches when Winslow finished playing with Houston Hoops in the afternoon game Saturday. Krzyzewski positioned himself at the end of the court so Winslow could see him as he walked off.

UCLA, which has a new staff, has forced Winslow to make a few adjustments to his next few weeks. He visited UCLA under the old staff back in November, but wants to take another look at Westwood under the new staff.

"I want to take another visit to UCLA sometime in May, before school lets out," Winslow said. "Once I take that visit, I'll be comfortable trimming my list again and will hopefully do that pretty soon after."

Winslow mentioned that he still hopes to have a decision by the early signing period in November.
