Chris Leak has done work in radio since his football career came to an end, but he’ll be back in orange and blue this season as a part of the Florida football coaching staff. The quality control coach position serves mostly to watch and study film.
Leak played in 37 games during his four-year career, including a streak of 33 straight starts. He threw a touchdown pass in all but two of his 33 starts and went 22-11 as a starter with a 15-8 record in Southeastern Conference play. Leak ranks fourth on the school’s all-time list with 8,271 passing yards and ended his career with six 300-yard passing games.
He was the game’s most valuable offensive player when Florida won the national championship in 2006.
Will Muschamp also announced on Monday that two four-star members of the 2013 signing class are now on campus. Offensive tackle Trenton Brown, coming in at 6-7, 345 pounds, and safety Marcell Harris both started school in Gainesville on Monday when the Summer A session began.
The rest of the signing class will report for Summer B classes that begin July 1.
