Weekend recap

The season is coming to a close for the spring sports as football season lurks in the coming months, but there's still plenty of success in Gainesville. One season came to an end over the weekend after an Elite Eight berth while other sports are still fighting to make a deep postseason run.

The Florida women's tennis program earned its fourth straight berth in the Final Four. The Gators beat Cal 4-2 on Sunday and will face Stanford at 6 p.m. on Monday. As usual, it was senior Lauren Embree that set the pace for Florida. Embree has played a role in all four of the last Final Four appearances.
