"Those are my two favorites," Baker said. "I plan on talking with the coaches on Thursday night and releasing it to the media on Friday morning."
Baker, 6-foot-6 and 270-pounds, has scholarship offers from the Gators and Hoosiers as well as Middle Tennessee State (first offer), Miami (most recent offer), Iowa State, FSU, Akron, FIU, Missouri, Troy, UCF, South Florida, and others. It was a fast and furious month of May for Baker, as it was these few weeks when he landed most of his offers.
But for Baker it's down to the home-state Gators and Indiana. He recently visited both schools as well as Middle Tennessee State and Troy.
"Florida has many pros," Baker said. "First of all its 40-minutes from home. I grew up a Gator fan. I love the coaching staff and had a great talk with coach [Will] Muschamp when I was there. That staff is real cool. Plus, I like the offense."
There's a nice connection with the Hoosiers and Baker. His high school coach was wide receiver at USF while Greg Frey was the offensive line coach for the Bulls. Frey now holds the same position in Bloomington.
"Coach Frey is an awesome guy and he's a Florida boy," Baker said. "He was on the staff at USF when my coach (Ryan Hearn) was a GA there.
"What I really liked about my visit to Indiana was the way they made me feel. You can feel the family and the love. I really felt it and like I was part of the team. The players were cool and the coaches were great."
Baker said he already knows where he's headed. Now we just have to wait for his decision.
"It's done in my head," Baker said. "I know where I am going. I have it."
