Justus Reed Says Yes to UF

The Gators have some nice recruiting momentum going into their biggest summer event that begins tomorrow, Friday Night Lights. Yesterday Florida landed lineman Dontae Angus (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown). Tonight, they added another piece on the front with the addition of defensive end Justus Reed (Clearwater, Fla./Central Catholic).

"It feels really good," Justus Reed said. "I had a talk with coach [Brian] White earlier in the day and he wanted me to call coach [Will] Muschamp. My dad and I talked about it and thought we would commit today. We came to the decision that it was the right time to commit. I called coach Muschamp and told him I was committing. He was really happy and so was I. He was really happy I made this decision and told me he is excited for me to get to Gainesville. He likes me at outside linebacker/defensive end."

Reed has everything you look for in a defensive player. He is 6-foot-3 and weighs 235-pounds. Reed is fast, physical and his best days are ahead of him. Where he ends up on defense could very well depend on how his body matures and develops once he gets on campus.

Reed joins Angus as Florida Gator commitments 10 and 11. Angus committed last night. He's a big and athletic lineman that can play defensive or offensive tackle.
