Florida ranked No. 10 in preseason poll

The Gators will start the 2013 season at a familiar spot in the preseason coaches' poll. Florida ended the 2012 season with a disappointing loss in the Sugar Bowl and fell to No. 10 in the final poll. They will open the 2013 season against Toledo on August 31 still ranked at No. 10.

Florida is one of five Southeastern Conference teams ranked in the top ten of the poll by the coaches. Alabama earned the No. 1 spot, followed by Georgia at No. 5, Texas A&M at No. 6 and South Carolina at No. 7. The Crimson Tide received 58 of the 62 total first-place votes.

The Gators also have four teams in the poll on their schedule in Georgia, South Carolina, No. 12 Florida State and No. 13 LSU.

Miami, the week-two opponent for the Gators, received votes and came in at No. 27, just missing the poll.

The Gators opened last season at No. 23 and put together an 11-2 season with a BCS bowl berth.
