Q. Is the healthiest the team has been since the spring?
Will Muschamp: "Since the start of camp this is probably the healthiest we have been. DJ will practice today. Dominique Easley was back yesterday after being sick on Monday. We should be good to go heading into Saturday.
Q. What were you early thoughts of the Miami rivalry? You probably know more about it than the guys on your team.
Will Muschamp: "Since we expanded in the SEC it isn't a game we have played every year. We are looking forward to this Saturday and it is a game with a lot of tradition.
"Back in the 80's when I loved in Gainesville, I will never forget James Jones one-handed catch in the north end zone, I think that one finished 17-14. It led off the year every year, it has been a fantastic series and we will see where it goes after Saturday."
Q. Some of your guys have played against those from Mimi in high school, have you tried to let them know how important it used to be and how important it is for the fans?
Will Muschamp: "Certainly they know it is an important game for the University of Florida here in the state. We talk about it all the time. Our players understand the importance of the game. We will continue to educate them throughout the week about the game. Any time they play against guys they know and are familiar with, it is obviously very important."
Q. What do you have to do to be able to contain Duke Johnson?
Will Muschamp: "You have to be disciplined in your gaps. He is a guy that can take the ball anywhere. They do a nice job of showing the stretch look and him cutting the ball back and heading north and south. He is extremely tough and competitive guy. We recruited him. He is a good young man, a good football player, a very competitive guy, and a guy you enjoy competing against. He catches the ball extremely well, he protects… he is a complete back."
