The West's top prospect, Gardena (Calif.) Serra's Adoree Jackson, leads the preseason cornerback…
Adoree Jackson Does It All.
Adoree Jackson (5'10/180) of Serra High School in Gardena, Calif. and his teammates took on a scrappy Desert Ridge team from Arizona last week in San Diego.
Jackson helped Serra build a 28-6 lead and helped them hang on to win 28-22 by doing whatever was necessary on the field.
We talk about two way players, but Jackson was much more than that. He lined up at receiver, running back, cornerback, punt and kickoff return man, blocked an extra point, punted, and I think I saw him take water to the referees at one point.
Jackson has the burst and skill to play on either side of the ball in college. His size best relegates him to the tough to find cornerback position, but he's certainly good enough with the ball in his hands that a college coach will want to find him some touches, even if it's on special teams.
He's physical from his corner position, and against Desert Ridge's dreaded double-wing offense, he had to be to get involved in the game since the vertical pass was basically non-existent.
Here is a look at Jackson from Saturday's action:
