Goodluck Okonoboh announced his college destination Thursday evening on ESPNU. Okonoboh committed to Dave Rice and UNLV.
"Just the relationship," Okonoboh said on national television. "The relationship with coach Rice. We have a great relationship on and off the court. They had the best blueprint for me. I'm just excited to be a Rebel."
The Wilbraham (Mass.) Wilbraham and Monson Academy standout is arguably the nation's top shot blocker. At 6-foot-9, he's a very good athlete with good defensive instincts. He's quick off his feet, has impressive timing and also runs the floor with ease.
Okonoboh is UNLV's second commitment of the 2014 class. He joins Scout.com's No. 21 prospect Dwayne Morgan to make up their current recruiting class.
Okonoboh is regarded as the No. 37 overall prospect in the 2014 class.
