Wilbekin named SEC Player of the Week

Point guard Scottie Wilbekin has led the Gators since returning from his five-game regular season suspension to start the season. On Monday, the Southeastern Conference named Wilbekin the conference player of the week for his performance against Kansas last week.

Scottie Wilbekin posted a career-high 18 points in Florida's 67-61 win against Kansas last week. He added six assists and four steals. The senior point guard has double digits in three of the four games he has played in this season.

Wilbekin and freshman Kasey Hill have combined for a 3.3 assist-to-turnover ratio this season.

Florida travels to face Memphis in New York City as part of the Jimmy V Classic on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
