"It went really good and it was an awesome day," Chandler Cox said. "When we (Martez Ivey) got there all the coaches wanted to see us and I love getting back to Gainesville and seeing Florida. It was hard not to commit but I think today I really fell in love with the University of Florida. I think it was just because how the coaches were. I love it more and more each time I visit."
There have been some question marks concerning where Cox would play in the new Florida offense and that was quickly addressed today.
"They like me at the h-back position," Cox said. "I spent time with coach [Brian] White and they are going to start using the h-back position a lot. Coach [Will] Muschamp told me the same thing about the h-back position and he wants to see me on the special teams as well."
One special moment stood above the rest for Cox.
"I think the best part of the trip for me was trying on the jersey and gloves," Cox Said. "I have never done that before so that was pretty awesome I thought."
The Gator coaching staff knows Cox is a hot commodity and they are looking for him to pull the trigger and end all speculation about where he will play his college football.
"They asked me what schools I was visiting and I told them I don't know right now," Cox said. "I am going to try and make a decision in May or June so it's done before my senior year. I told them that Florida is at the top of my list. They were excited and they said they want me at the University of Florida and they need guys like me and Martez (Ivey) and they wanted me to commit."
Speaking of teammate and close friend Martez Ivey, Cox had this message to the Florida fans.
"I would say they should be patient," Cox said. "He has always liked Florida. He has a lot of choices and some decisions to make. I would say the Florida fans got to be patient. I know he loves it at the University of Florida."
