Gators end historic streak with Friday loss

Carson Fulmer threw a shutout on Friday

One inning was enough to serve as Florida's downfall. With the way Vanderbilt sophomore Carson Fulmer was throwing, the Commodores' three-run fifth inning was all he needed. The sophomore from Lakeland dealt a shutout while giving up just four hits. Vanderbilt's 3-0 win snapped Florida's school-record 12 games SEC winning streak.

Carson Fulmer faced one over the minimum through the first six innings. Casey Turgeon led off the game with a four-pitch walk but was erased on a double play. Zack Powers singled in the second inning but was picked off to end the inning.
