Mike Horton Commitment Primer

Mike Horton is a bug target for a huge need along the offensive line in the 2015 class.

Thursday is the day for Mike Horton of Atlanta (Ga.) Lakeside and the announcement of his college choice. The 6-foot-4, 310 pound has offers from all the major programs in the south and the east. Thursday, he will decide between six SEC programs, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee. He has offers from each.

The Gators like Horton on defense, but also as an offensive player. He is a guy that Florida could see playing on either or both sides of the ball. His size and athletic ability allow him to be a monster masher in the middle of the trenches and Florida is in need on both sides.

Horton plans on posting his decision on Twitter at 8 pm Thursday.

The Gators are still a little light along the offensive line. They also have two senior starters in the middle on offense. On defense, the Gators top three interior lineman could all be gone after the 2014 season with two seniors and a possible junior defection to the NFL.

The combination of low in total numbers and senior defections after the season along with Horton being a strong possibility to play on either side of the ball, make him a huge need in the 2015 class.
