SAN ANTONIO -- Perhaps the nations most elusive prospect to media outlets is Brooklyn (N.Y.) Abraham Lincoln athlete Nyan Boateng. The 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver that missed his entire senior season due to a fractured ankle. Boateng sat down with Scout.com during his registration for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas to discuss his recruitment.

Earlier in the week Florida head coach Urban Meyer and wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales ventured to Brooklyn, (N.Y.) for an in-home visit with the enigmatic wide receiver.

“They came up while I was working out, I took them to a basketball game at my school,” Boateng said. “They came to my house and got to know my family, I’d say they spent about ten hours here.”

Boateng was very impressed by his official visit to Florida.

“The visit was unbelievable, it’s a college town,” Boateng said. “The football is great, the academics are outstanding, and the coaching staff was real cool.”

What would the he consider as the highlight of his visit?

“The academic staff, we had a meeting and they were so thorough,” Boateng said.

Boateng is one of 22 athletes who are currently planning to announce their college choice live at the Alamodome, January 15, 2005 during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is played in San Antonio, Texas., at the Alamodome on Jan. 15, 2005, and broadcast nationally on NBC at 1 p.m. eastern.
