RECRUITING: Owens makes big splash in Gainesville

Jeff Owens, a Georgia verbal commitment, was scheduled for a trip to Coral Gables to visit the University of Miami but he cancelled it at midweek in favor of a visit to the University of Florida. To say the least, the big defensive tackle from Plantation, Florida caused a big splash in Gainesville, and not just with the Gator players and coaching staff. | |
