“I haven’t heard from the coaches at Florida lately,
so I don’t know,” Roberts said. “I suppose they’re not
interested in me anymore. That’s okay. It’s a business
and I know the business. I think they have some guy
out of Carolina they’re recruiting.”
Roberts earned first team All-State honors and picked
off a pair of passes in the CaliFlorida All-Star Game
in Miami four weeks ago. The 6-1, 190-pound
corner/free safety was hopeful of a Florida visit.
With the Gators apparently out of the picture, Roberts
choices have now become limited.
“I’ll decide between North Carolina State and South Florida” he said. “I haven’t committed anywhere yet
though. I’ll make my decision in the next few days.”
GATOR COUNTRY TAKE: Florida cooled on Tyller Roberts suddenly, so perhaps there are more highly
rated players on the Florida board who stepped up
their interest or maybe some other issues. Florida had
an interest in Roberts along with his teammates
Quentin Brown and Matt Hardrick, but now it appears
only Hardrick is still on the Florida board.
