Tate Casey all alone at Tight End...

The University of Florida's football program will be releasing its media guide any day now and it's always a topic of interest to Gator fans throughout. We thought we'd take a sneak peak at the depth charts on both sides of the ball so you'll have something to enjoy along with your coffee and donuts this morning... Enjoy!

Let's start out on the offense: First and foremost, what's very noticeable at first glance is the depth at the tight end position -- there's none! With the recent departure of Dane Guthrie, which we first reported here, Tate Casey stands all alone on the depth chart at tight end. Our sources have hinted that walk-on Kyle Morgan, who is the biggest of the receivers, will back up Casey. The big question that needs to be answered is: Where is Markell Thompson? A quick search of the official roster shows Thompson is still listed, but not on the depth chart. Thompson missed the last several practices of the spring for undisclosed reasons.

Most of the depth chart remains the same on offense as it was at the end of spring, except the announced changes in positions on the starting offensive line afer the Orange and Blue spring game. One notable inference is the quarterbacks where all three backups are listed as possible second teamers. This is something Meyer has said all through the spring would be the case.

Probably the biggest missing piece on defense is the disappearance of Mike Hill from the roster and the official depth chart, as reported earlier on Gator Country. However, Hill has a chance to work his way back into the roster this fall, so we'll see if that happens.

At linebacker, you'll notice the absence of Eric Rutledge from the two deep list. In his place Brian Crum is listed as first backup at strong side linebacker and middle linebacker. Brian Royal is listed third team at strong side linebacker.

In the secondary, the only real change from what may be the status quo is Tremaine McCollum as the second team corner behind Dee Webb. At third team is Dawayne Grace, who was mainly regarded to be second team.

On special teams it looks like freshman James Smith may unseat junior Jay Patella as the long snapper. Other than that, things remain the same on special teams.

On the roster, there's some obvious weight changes from the last official weigh in posted officially by the Sports Information department at UF. Defensive lineman Javier Estopinan, after moving over from linebacker, has added more weight than previously reported. He is up to 280 pounds, having gained 17 more pounds since the last official weight-in. Quarterback Cornelius Ingram gained the second most when he weighed in at 225 pounds and 6 pounds heavier than last time. Defensive lineman Steven Harris is third in weight gain with a gain of 15 pounds. He's now at 281 pounds. Other notable weight differences are Mike Degory who is up 8 pounds to 304 after a bout with illness and Tate Casey who is up eight pounds to a respectable 242 pounds as the starting tight end.

In the weight loss category, Jarvis Moss unfortunately continues to drop in weight as he is listed 15 pounds under his last official weigh in and currently stands at 223 pounds. Defensive tackle Branden Daniel takes the next biggest plunge when he weighs in a full 11 pounds lighter at 290 pounds. This is a definite positive for Daniel. Offensive lineman Jonathan Marvin and punter Eric Wilbur lose ten pounds each. Marvin is in at 330 pounds and Wilbur at 195. Another of interest is true freshman Ronnie Wilson who is down another eight pounds at 310. Wilson reported to school in January at over 350 pounds as is now rewarded on the two deep with his hard work.

Without further ado, here's the depth charts:
