RECRUITING: Gators Keep on Rolling

Rarely do you see a flood of commitments come immediately after a single game, but Florida's convincing win over Florida State on Saturday has done just that. Brandon James joins Jarred Fayson, Bryan Thomas, and Jacques Rickerson as the newest Florida Gators.

"I committed to Florida this morning," said Brandon James. "After the unofficial visit I took this weekend, I took some time to sit down with my dad and my coach, and that was the place I wanted to be."

James delivered the news to the head man himself.

"I called up Coach Meyer this morning. he was happy, and he wanted to know if I was sure about it, and that he was happy to have me."

The recruiting momentum that has vaulted Florida into the Top 5 was a factor for James.

"I'm looking forward to playing in the SEC. Here at St. Augustine, I'm used to being around a lot of great coaches and great players. I wanted to go to Florida with more great coaches and great players, and hopefully I can keep winning championships on the next level too."

James has helped lead his St. Augustine team to the Semi Finals against North Marion this weekend.
