Ryan Smith Makes It Official: He's A Gator

Ryan Smith, who made freshman All-America as a cornerback on Utah's undefeated team in 2004, will be a Florida Gator. Smith, who will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Utah in two weeks, will be attending graduate school at the University of Florida. He will be eligible to play in the fall under a new NCAA rule.

Smith is a 5-10, 175-pounder that started at corner in 2004 when Urban Meyer was coaching the Utes to a 12-0 record that included a win over Pitt in the Fiesta Bowl. He redshirted his freshman year and played two years at Utah so he will have two years of eligibility for the Gators.
