Posted Oct 23, 2006

Gainesville, Fla. - University of Florida redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Javier Estopinan underwent surgery at the Florida Surgical Center Monday.

The surgery, performed by team physician Dr. Pete Indelicato, repaired a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Estopinan's right knee suffered in the LSU game.

Estopinan (Miami, Fla.) made his first career start this season against Alabama, where he recorded three of his seven tackles this season. The LSU game marked the second career start for Estopinan.
