South Florida TE Hoping to Show his Stuff

Boca Raton (Fla.) West Boca Raton tight end Nathan Nord is a big athlete with great athleticism.

Nathan Nord, who missed much of last season with an injury, has been working hard since the end of football on and off the field.

"I have been working a lot in the weight room trying to get bigger and stronger," he said.

After missing most of last season, Nord was ready to have a big spring game but unfortunately, Mother Nature had something to say about that.

"We were supposed to have our spring game last Friday but it was canceled," Nord said. "I am disappointed because I was looking forward to getting some video out to coaches. Right now, I have one offer from Air Force. I am sure I would have picked up a few more if we were able to have the spring game. I can't wait for the season to get started so I can show everyone what I can do."

Nord has plans to attend a one-day camp at the University of Miami on June 2 and then plans a trip to Louisville, Cincinnati and Boston College.

Nord has interest in Florida, Florida State and Miami, but Florida is the one in-state school that he is not hearing from.

"My strengths are my speed and quickness," he said. "I am 6-5 and 215-pounds right now and have great hands."

The recruiting process for Nord has been a little slow, but he is very eager for the season to get going.
