Jeremy Brown, a 5-10, 170-pound cornerback, possess speed and quickness and has good hands. He plays both ways for Boone High School and helped them reach the state semifinals of last year’s class 6A Florida state championship.
This fall, he’s looking to take on more of a leadership role with the Braves.
“Jeremy is excited about the upcoming season,” Terrell Brown, Jeremy’s father said. “He desires to be an example for others to follow. I have noticed a leadership quality about Jeremy. We are expecting great things to happen for the Boone Braves this year.”
In the last few weeks, Brown has added three more written offers to his ever-growing list. Georgia, Nebraska and Cincinnati all formally offered the three-star recruit. He continues to train every day, but most of his focus has been on taking summer classes. He’ll take time off in July for a family reunion in South Florida followed by a family trip to North Carolina. He would like to take part in Florida’s Friday Night Lights, but no definite decision has been made yet.
Last week, Brown had some excitement when he did his first live radio interview with a Notre Dame radio show- Gold and Blue. The Fighting Irish and the Gators are the favorites heading into the fall.
Several other schools are showing Brown lots of interest, including Miami, but another five are increasing the pressure on him.
“Virginia Tech, Auburn, LSU, Rutgers and Georgia Tech are trying really hard to get Jeremy to attend one of their camps over the summer,” Terrell Brown said. “All have offered written scholarships.”
Brown is rated No. 113 on Scout.com’s Southeast Top 150.
