Emmanuel Moody is coming off a very impressive 2006 season for Pete Carroll and the USC Trojans. He was the team's second leading rusher with 459 yards and two touchdowns, and led the team with 5.8 yards per carry.
Things did not go according to plan for Moody with the Trojans, but one team's loss is another team's gain. Moody was looking at Florida, Texas, Oklahoma State and North Carolina, but he narrowed his choices to the Gators and the Tar Heels.
After Moody left Gainesville yesterday, he said he was close to a decision and planned to announce it today, but will hold off on the announcement until Monday.
FightinGators.com will have his official announcement come Monday.
Moody has incredible agility along with the ability to leave defenders grasping for air. Should he chose the Gators, he is a perfect fit in Urban Meyer’s spread option attack. Moody, can go inside or outside and can be utilized as a weapon out of the backfield.
Regardless of his choice, Moody will sit out the 2007 season, but will be ready to go in 2008.
