The Moody File

Emmanuel Moody

Earlier today, Emmanuel Moody became the newest member of the Florida Gators, but what do we know about this former USC running back? Almost everyone by now knows that he was the Trojans' second leading rusher last season as a true freshman, leading the team with 5.8 yards per carry. But what did Moody accomplish before landing in Southern California?

Emmanuel Moody was the No. 11-ranked running back from the class of 2006. But the Dallas-area native didn't just excel on the gridiron. Moody also ran the 110-meter hurdles and was the last leg of his high school's 4x100 relay team. And in his first two years of high school, Moody was a competitive weight lifter.

On the football field, Moody rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of his last two seasons at Coppell (Texas) High School. His on-the-field achievements helped land him a spot in the 2006 U.S. Army All-American Game.
