Adams Headed to Auburn

With week one of the college football season in the books one thing was clear, speed kills. And the Auburn Tigers just took a huge step with increasing their overall team speed with one of the fastest players in the country.

Harry Adams has ended the speculation of where he intends to play his college football. Adams, a 6-0, 180-pound wide receiver from Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard High School will join head coach Tommy Tuberville and the Auburn Tigers.

"I had a great time this weekend at Auburn and decided to get it out of the way and I committed to head coach Tommy Tuberville," Adams said. "Coach was very excited when I told him the news. He talked about making me a better football player, but more importantly a better person off the football field. He told me that I will get an early look at both punt and kick off return because of my speed and athletic ability."

The Auburn Tigers found themselves in a dog fight late Saturday night as they had to come from behind to beat Kansas State 23-13. In one of the more exciting games of the day, the atmosphere was electric, and it had an impact on potential recruits.

"The game was awesome," Adams said. "They struggled a little bit, but in the end, they came away with the win. The atmosphere was electric and and watching the eagle fly was cool."

Harry Adams is a legit 10.2 100-meter guy and has been timed as low as 4.32 in the 40. Adams' first year of high school football was his junior season.

He still plans trips to Florida and LSU. Recommended Stories
