Another Top Ten All Sports Finish Likely
Tim Tebow

The Florida Gators have taken great pride in finishing in the top ten of the national All Sports standings ever since the nation’s athletic directors began charting such success. Well all indications are that streak will reach 25 when all is said and done for this school year.
The
Florida
Gators have yet to win an NCAA title this year but it’s been another consistent year of scoring for most Gator squads and a bunch more is are still to come.
Entering May the Gators are 10th overall and first among SEC schools. Florida’s point total of 607.75 is just an eyelash better than No. 11
North Carolina
(607) and No. 12
LSU
(604.50). The tightness of the standings makes it incumbent upon the Gators’ spring sports teams to add to the point total, but that seems like a virtually certainty.
For example Florida Men’s and Women’s tennis teams have already advanced to the final 16 of the NCAA Tournament, guaranteeing each squad no worse than a tie for ninth place. Those finishes are worth at least 64 points to each team. Additionally the Women’s golf team has advanced to the NCAA and will finish no worse than 32nd. Softball is in the same situation and baseball is probably two or three wins from advancing. The men’s golf team and both track squads should also score NCAA points.
If you wish to aim high, Florida is just 95 points shy of
California
which stands in fifth place. A top five finish would be another tremendous season.
Here are some other teams of note:
10. Florida
12. LSU
14. Tennessee
16. Florida State
17. Georgia
34. Arkansas
37. Auburn
38. Alabama
39. Kentucky
63. Miami
85. Vanderbilt
97. South Carolina
