The Florida Gators men's basketball team has released its schedule for the 2008-09 season. The Gators will look to improve on their 24-12 record from last season, but they'll have to do so against at least 16 teams that made it to last year's postseason.

The non-conference schedule is highlighted by Florida's annual match-up against Florida State on December 7 in Tallahassee. They also host North Carolina State from the ACC on January 3, the same school that Dan Werner was let out of his letter of intent to come to Gainesville.

In November, Florida will also compete in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Classic, but those teams have yet to be determined. The first two games are scheduled for the O'Connell Center on November 14 and 16 with two more games scheduled in Kansas City on November 24-25.

The Gators open up SEC play at home on January 10 against Ole Miss. They travel to Lexington on February 10 and then host the Wildcats for the final regular season game on March 7. Four of the Gators final six regular season games will be at the O'Connell Center.

Florida's other non-conference foes include two exhibition games against Warner Southern (11/3) and Rollins College (11/6) followed by Southern Utah (11/20), Missouri-Kansas City (11/30 in Orlando), Florida A&M (12/2), Florida Gulf Coast (12/10), UCF (12/20 in Jacksonville), Georgia Southern (12/22), Winthrop (12/28), Stetson (12/30), and Longwood (1/6).
