Silberman Can't Wait to be a Gator

Ian Silberman

The game of football at every level is won in the trenches. The Gators took a huge step in solidifying their offensive line of the future with one of the top offensive linemen in the state of Florida from the class of 2010, Ian Silberman.

"Our season record is 8-2, but 1-2 in the district so no playoffs for us," Ian Silberman said. "I do plan on enrolling early at the University of Florida."

Silberman gave us his thoughts on how the Gators will finish the season.

"Don't underestimate Florida State," he said. "They want to beat the Gators and we want to beat them. The Gators have to play them like this is the championship game, wait, they play all teams like it's for the championship ring. The following weekend is the championship game, what the Gators have been fighting for. Alabama may get a little cocky because of Florida's one loss. Let the smooth taste fool them. Both teams want it but the Gators will be victorious by 40.

"I predict Florida and Texas playing and the score 45-21 Gators. We have Superman as the quarterback and he has a bunch of Steve Austin's (not Stone Cold, the original, the six million dollar man) to throw to and on defense throw in some incredible hulks with that strength, man we have the SEC and BCS champions...the Florida Gators. Yeah, I can't wait to be a Florida Gator."

Silberman gave us his thoughts on what it means to be a Florida Gator.

"The thought of being a part of another great family and the Gator Nation is exciting," he said. "I'm looking forward to the next level of my life as a Gator because the academics are what I'm looking for and the camaraderie of the football team and coaching staff cannot be compared to anything else (well maybe the pros but give me a about five years for that comparison). Win or lose, they were awesome. Even after the loss, they came together, stronger than ever, like the six million dollar man and have been getter better each game. Camaraderie, respect, these guys work well together. I can't wait to be in that uniform, on the field, practicing and playing with the best...with the Gators."
