Gators to hire Scot Loeffler

MIAMI -- Sources close to the situation have confirmed that Scot Loeffler will be named the next quarterback coach at the University of Florida. Florida head coach Urban Meyer said Saturday after practice that a new coach should be named soon. Loeffler will join the Gators via the Detroit Lions and previously with the Michigan Wolverines.

FightinGators.com learned Friday night of Loeffler, but decided to sit on the news after discussing with sources that it was in the best interests to do so. The news is out and we are confirming from our sources that Loeffler should be hired and made public within days.
